Just this week, as ICE & federal agents tore through Chinatown, Tisch's officers are still targeting immigrant communities and ebikers, putting them at high risk of ICE contact, and protecting ICE & their property instead of the NYers bravely protesting. SHAME!

Under Tisch, stop & frisk rates & other low-level offenses continue to rise to alarming levels. Her full embrace of broken windows policing (widely discredited) & investment in surveillance are doing nothing to keep NYers safe -- rather, they're putting us more at risk.

Plus, she's blocking the CCRB from prosecuting at least 25 other cases of police misconduct. Does that sound like accountability to you?

Just last week, the family of #AllanFeliz sued Tisch over her ridiculous & unjustifiable decision not to #FireJonathanRivera -- despite her own deputy commissioner finding him guilty and saying he lied on the stand to protect himself.

Don’t let @NYPDPC Tisch's promises of reform fool you: in spite of a few high-profile firings early on, Tisch has largely chosen to maintain the NYPD’s status quo by protecting abusive officers & expanding NYPD power. She should not be NYPD Commissioner, now or in the future. 🧵

Allan Feliz's family shouldn’t have to fight for basic accountability, but @NYPDPC’s unprecedented overturning of the disciplinary recommendation by NYPD's own Deputy Commissioner for Trials is why we’re here. Public safety demands a credible, respected disciplinary process.

6 years without justice for Allan Feliz, who was murdered by the NYPD. Nothing will heal the pain Allan’s family feels. But we can change our system so that more New Yorkers aren't put in harm's way. That starts by firing the officers responsible for Allan's death immediately.

Commissioner Tisch’s choice to not fire Lt. Jonathan Rivera for killing Allan Feliz was an injustice. And it's unjust that now—after fighting six years and winning a guilty verdict—Allan’s family has to go back to court with a lawsuit. Still, we'll stand with them at each step.
