Withdrawal of hormone therapy can cause severe medical and psychological problems, from cardiovascular complications to cognitive decline. Cutting off essential care also ensures the return of the conditions that necessitated care in the first place.

A temporary injunction ordered by the judge in September was set to expire, compelling this new decision, which stems from a class action lawsuit filed by trans people incarcerated in Georgia.

Today, a federal judge permanently enjoined a portion of a Georgia law banning gender dysphoria treatment in prison, finding that its blanket ban on hormone therapy violated the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.

Ahead of Microsoft’s annual shareholder meeting on Dec 5, the letter urges the company to immediately terminate all services illegally deployed by Israel, identify other Microsoft contributions to human rights violations, and take measures to provide restitution to those harmed.

Despite widespread international recognition that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, Microsoft continues to provide major services to dozens of units across the Israeli ground, air, and naval forces.

Big Tech companies providing technology to the Israeli military have been, and continue to be, integral in facilitating the unprecedented speed and scale of Israel’s crimes, recognized as the “world’s first AI-powered genocide.”

Sent just days before the company’s Annual General Meeting, the letter outlines the intimate relationship between Microsoft and the Israeli military, and the significant role the company has played in advancing, and even accelerating, Israel’s genocide.

This week we joined a coalition of international legal and advocacy rights groups to issue a warning to Microsoft: aiding Israel’s genocide against Palestinians exposes company and its leadership to liability.

While she was there, she helped expose abuse by a doctor who was performing non-consensual gynecological procedures on immigrant women, bringing international attention to Georgia.

Alma was previously detained by ICE from 2017 to 2020 at the Irwin County Detention Center in Ocilla, Georgia, a facility known for its documented human rights abuses against people in immigration detention.

After 243 days in ICE detention, activist and whistleblower Alma Bowman is home. Alma was finally released from the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, two days before Thanksgiving, and reunited with her family after spending eight months detained by ICE.

Since the inception of our organization, we have stood in solidarity with Latin Americans fighting for justice and liberation and in opposition to U.S. intervention in the region. Trump's war of aggression would only exacerbate the struggles of Venezuelans. He must be stopped.

Regardless, Trump does not have the authority to attack Venezuela. Under international law, a country’s involvement in drugs, no matter how extensive, does not make it a legitimate target of military force.

The administration claims Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro heads a drug cartel, which it recently designated as a foreign terrorist organization, but it is doubtful that such a cartel even exists.
