It's hard to synthesize sugar molecules. @wangcc7280 from @AcadSinica presented a program (#GlycoComputer) that predicts how easily a sugar molecule can be attached to another & how molecular units of oxygen & hydrogen (#hydroxyl groups) can bind to sugar units. #glycosylation

This past Monday some of the experts that helped to establish the @CTC_Concept visited the future location of the institute in#Delitzsch in #Sachsen. What used to be a sugar factory, is now a ruin, but will become the home to 1.000 scientists and science-based companies

Removing protecting groups by hydrogenation seems like a boring routine task. Still it often results in loss of half the material at the last step of a synthesis. Quality control of the catalyst greatly improves the deprotection. Great job @ronocdrofwarc @MpiciPotsdam @BioMolSys
