This sums up the unfortunate reality of the "system" in Germany. It is more unforgiving to those who were complying in the past or genuinely want to comply. Others just know the grey areas and shortcuts and system happily move along with them.
@jennabrinning Exactly! They make complying with the law extremely difficult and make a ton of mistakes. But the second you make a mistake, they act like you are a criminal mastermind. It’s honestly exhausting.

As an adult immigrant, there must come a point when you start taking serious interest in the news, politics, and the future of your new home. The realization should come eventually that you have way more stakes here than your country of origin.

I actually know Europeans who religiously follow this for their personal toolkit. For tech businesses, it is a pure wishful thinking. Alternate doesn't mean it comes with comparable capabilities to US tech. Start with an alternate for a Cloud provider and rest would follow.
We will introduce “made in Europe” criteria for public procurement in certain strategic sectors. Ensure that new foreign investments in our industry are truly in Europe’s interest. And step up support for strategic industries, like cars and batteries

The comments and discussions is pure cinema 🍿 I did find out about "The Bundeskartelamt" which is an independent higher federal authority, responsible for ensuring free and fair competition in the marketplace.
Moving to Germany was the single biggest mistake I ever made in 12 years of running a business. I genuinely have no idea how this country even runs. My advice for people thinking of running a business from Germany? Run and never look back.
