This sums up the unfortunate reality of the "system" in Germany. It is more unforgiving to those who were complying in the past or genuinely want to comply. Others just know the grey areas and shortcuts and system happily move along with them.

@jennabrinning Exactly! They make complying with the law extremely difficult and make a ton of mistakes. But the second you make a mistake, they act like you are a criminal mastermind. It’s honestly exhausting.

As an adult immigrant, there must come a point when you start taking serious interest in the news, politics, and the future of your new home. The realization should come eventually that you have way more stakes here than your country of origin.

As a European, it is truly disheartening to watch our political leaders destroy the economy, security, political stability, autonomy, freedom of speech, international reputation, and the future of our continent — one stupid and reckless decision after another.

I'm not kidding that I got approached to be a speaker for this session 🙃 This is another level of "excessive hand holding" of public servants. They are incapable to even watch youtube videos and try things out.

Apology not accepted! Naqvi has acquired the ability to see everyone else as a "bloody civilian". I have a feeling Tareen's part is more of a prologue than an epilogue 🙃🍿 #PSL

The Dutch government's too-clever-by-half decision to seize control of Nexperia, a chip maker, away from its Chinese owners is having a massive effect on European supply chains. The German car industry is 10-20 days away from a total production stop. The problem came after

Babar scored important 50 runs no denying that but situations like this define you. Many of us hoped he would play an inn that would help Pakistan put up a winning or at least a fighting total. Once again you let everyone down.

I actually know Europeans who religiously follow this for their personal toolkit. For tech businesses, it is a pure wishful thinking. Alternate doesn't mean it comes with comparable capabilities to US tech. Start with an alternate for a Cloud provider and rest would follow.

We will introduce “made in Europe” criteria for public procurement in certain strategic sectors. Ensure that new foreign investments in our industry are truly in Europe’s interest. And step up support for strategic industries, like cars and batteries

I’ve studied Islamophobia for more than 15 years and I’ve never witnessed anything like the vile anti-Muslim rhetoric circulating on this site today. Between Trump 2.0, the decimation of Gaza, and the rise of Zohran Mamdani, anti-Muslim hate is at a dangerous new level.

You gotta appreciate and quite a healthy sign how the Immigrants and netizens with migration background are voicing their disbelief (with humor) on Merz's infamous complain about #Stadtbild. You just can't make such a blanket statement which is so inappropriate. #Germany

reddit, like much of the internet, rewards sharpness over softness, exit over endurance, virality over vulnerability. & with that over time tons of advice gets algorithmically sanded into disconnection. so now if ai eats that diet it consumes 15 years of stuff like leave them,

Moving to Germany was the single biggest mistake I ever made in 12 years of running a business. I genuinely have no idea how this country even runs. My advice for people thinking of running a business from Germany? Run and never look back.

One would think the hardest part is writing your first article for the newsletter on substack. But configuring substack settings, branding, bio, and introductions is no easy task either 😬
