I can't stay on this platform after the "salute". Downloading my archive then closing this account. You can find me on plenty of alternatives https://t.co/JK9Jer5tgk including Mastodon, Bluesky, etc.

I had wonderful interactions with you all. Changes over the last few years were already too much but mostly annoying. This is different though.

PS: bit of context for Elden Ring players, I'm ~100hrs in and level ~133, basic "boink" build. Will eventually share it but don't want any spoiler or hint as again it's still my first play through.

...isn't a "humble brag" to try to say that in truth, I'm a "god gamer". I'm not. It's really only to highlight that quite often we spend more time and energy anticipating an outcome rather than what it would take to actually just attempt doing what's needed.

Difficulty is relative and based on expectations. I've read few times how hard or annoying this @EldenRing boss is then on my first play through, no guide, no cheese : 3rd tries <15min total.πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I admit I was worried by it but just went through the motion and... done.βœ… This...

Prototypist live streamed (friendly) duels? So... imagine that you have a idea to build with software but you have a limited budget, money and time. What if you had to stick to the ESSENTIAL fast, real fast? How about watching people trying to do it?

I do enjoy Apple content as a viewer.🀩 ⚠️I hate its growing vertical integration though. It was one thing to provide "alt" home computers. Another to sell mobile devices. Then proprietary networking. Integration between all those, only those. Then services, e.g i☁️. πŸ«ΈπŸ›‘πŸŽβ†©οΈ

When intelligence is in the eye of the beholder. PS: it's grift. It's ALL grift, from fear to promises, it's all marketing. The Mechanical Turk 250years later.

Some might see all that communication via cryptic tweets as a sign of a grift. Especially when combined with the the fact that Tasks is apparently buggy and the fact that GPT-5 has yet to be delivered.

If only it was "just" infantalization. I'd argue it's also : - impoverishing your thinking process as suggested before https://t.co/rA0N2Suqgs - trying to make you more depending on tools and an ecosystem - extremely costly, economically and ecologically So yes, be wary.

Google seems to be slowly incorporating AI into every one of its products. Am I the only one who feels infantilized? I don't need an AI assistant to help me write. I'm curious about the long-term individual and social implications of this large-scale infantilizing experiment.

PS: this is the same for LLM being used for ideation or programming, namely it promotes a lack originality by suggesting what's popular.

Speech-to-text is one of the main benefits of the VC fueled AI frenzy yet it is still not 100%. Consequently it forces users to reduce their vocabulary (not just improve diction, even for native speakers). Does it mean that AI popularity leads to increasing poverty of thoughts?πŸ€”
