I'm finally on Blue Sky. https://t.co/60q64OZev8. Seems like more and more people are there rather than here. And with Elmo's impending power explosion, who knows what's gonna happen here. LMK what your profile is there so I can follow you there.

The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security feels called to point out that former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton’s recent remarks at the Israel Hayom Summit on 2 December amount to outright genocide denial. During her remarks, the Secretary correctly noted

12/ From there the emails move into open fantasising about mass death. Bach floats the idea that climate change could be “a good way of dealing with overpopulation… the earth’s forest fire… a good thing for the species”.

11/ Next he stereotypes whole populations – Chinese people as obsessively deferential to authority, Jews as uniquely intellectually independent – then speculates about “genetic switches” that could “make blacks smarter” by altering brain development.

I spoke to @404mediaco as to why it was concerning for the US DOE to take the position of using generative AI for safety cases and licensing at the IAEA symposium, while also advocating for eliminating human intervention during normal nuclear operations. https://t.co/3DV3RQIVa1

A presentation at the International Atomic Energy Agency unveiled Big Tech’s vision of an AI and nuclear fueled future.

Corporations/startups have vested interest to exaggerate the capabilities & future potential of their artificial intelligence (AI) products/services in order to sell them. There was no one selling fire so fire was not overhyped. Why is it so hard to understand?
i really don’t get people who think AI is overhyped it’s like thinking that fire was overhyped ~200000 years ago I’d get it if you were a monkey, but you’re living through the birth of the most powerful technology in human history. it CANNOT be overhyped

Oh and read here about the Epstein connection with the TESCREALists, of course.
EXCLUSIVE: 1/ Epstein didn’t just prey on children. He helped bankroll and embed a worldview of race science, climate “culling” and eugenics inside Silicon Valley’s elite AI networks. Tonight we publish the final part of my @BylineTimes investigation🧵 https://t.co/acIzo60XHF

The Epstein files expose how racial hierarchy, genetic “optimisation” and even climate-driven population culling circulated inside Big Tech circles

1) Israel kidnapped a 13-year old Palestinian boy 2) Israel raped the 13-year old Palestinian boy in prison 3) @DCIPalestine alerted the US government 4) The US government asked Israel for an explanation. 5) Israel declared @DCIPalestine a terrorist entity, raiding their offices
Israelis raped a child they imprisoned. IOF soldiers then labelled the organisation investigating the crime as a “terrorist entity.” Israel is the rape capital of the world.

Truly such a sad time for these eugenicists who keep on being “taken out of context”, not like he’s been spelling out the same thing with other words over and over. Such a victim.

Which one of us doesn’t miss the dude who said “Blacks are more stupid than whites” and called us the N word, and said the same over and over in “scholar speak” Only the non “rational” and “objective” amongst us, surely!
i miss when bostrom was popular when his works were the anchor of agi discourse we were discussing more important things bostrom not having social media is a bit sad, but his being cancelled was a *tragedy* for the discourse

At this summit which is about seeing all the things in the world and describing what the most important things are that will make it better. We arrived at "figure out how to make me live forever" and stop the fictional AI devil from killing me.

I thought the whole "effective altruism" thing was quantifying everything lol. But early on I knew all they did was pull numbers out of their asses to justify their decisions and talk about being "rational."

even though this whole AGI thing is THE MOST important thing to work on potentially.

One of the funniest things he said was that if you ask him when this whole AGI thing will happen, he'll say he doesn't know. BUT "if you insist on measurement" you'll end up with these problems that you won't work on because you can't measure then,

"It's time to start reaccelerating" technology is his last message. The "effective altruists" were like WHO should be have addressing our constituents, and were like its HIM.

"Potentially the most important zero to one problem that is." There you have it guys, effective altruism summit keynote in 2013, with our altruist main man Peter Thiel.

Friends the MOST important thing to work on to save the world is "hostile AI vs friendly AI" thing "The biggest 0 to 1 thing is generalized AI". "It will change the world in ways that are "more radical than we can imagine."

It would be best for us to be living in an "exponentially accelerating world" He's talking about exploring new planets and stuff and then says something about "cheap vacations in the Caribbean" smh. So painful to watch.

He's telling us about "thoughts to make the world a better place" awww. To start, the way to do is to "push the frontiers of technology" in the for profit and the nonprofit world.

I have the displeasure of watching Peter Thiel's keynote at the 2013 "Effective Altruism (EA) Summit". I too didn't understand what Thiel & "altruism" have to do with each other, but made sense after I knew that EAs are super effective at the opposite. https://t.co/f95e91a8nr
