With you James, I grew up in Shropshire, he was a local hero who helped make Britain a great country.
Robert Clive, my 6x great grandfather, helped make Britain a global power. We shouldn’t apologise for our history. We should learn from it and be proud of what Britain has achieved. @ThangamDebb was wrong to call for the removal of the statue.
