For someone with hypothyroidism,. I would not recommend traditional intermittent fasting protocols like 16:8, one-meal-a-day (OMAD), or any form of extended fasting. The potential risk to your metabolic rate and thyroid function outweighs the potential benefit for weight loss.

Now if someone already has sluggish thyroid, deliberately putting the brakes on this conversion will do more harm than good. It can make your symptoms worse and potentially even nudge your TSH higher over time. So, my strong opinion is this👇.
