I was lucky to see this work over the past year. Awesome work by @AbidKhanEpigen , @DrBrianStrahl, and colleagues only SETD2 and it's novel interaction with nuclear lamin. Very intriguing and many cool questions left to answer!.
🚨 Thrilled to share my latest work from the @DrBrianStrahl lab—out now in @NatureCellBio! We reveal the first non-catalytic role of the histone methyltransferase SETD2, showing it moonlights in mitosis to preserve nuclear and genome integrity.

Reprocessing some old #cryoEM data from my time in @aleschziner lab. Gonna use this to prove to my students that I used to be awesome in the lab!.2.7 Å from 550 micros, hand-selected in Leginon and collected in super-res (gasp!) on a Talos with a K2. Ancient by today's standards
