Indeed. Personally, I'm trying to eat or consume plant-based products as much as possible though it is extremely hard to do but also, it definitely doubles my grocery bill. The fact is, in this country, eating healthier such as focusing on plant-based food is very very expensive.

Face shield is also dangerous. I saw several people losing balance from it especially if you have eye problems. You also have to be very wary when crossing the streets with face shields.

Starting this year, I significantly reduce my usage of GCash. I’m either using credit card, Maya or the good old cash. Withdrawing in ATM can cost 18 pesos per transactions but 25 pesos in GCash is too much.

I think one way to prevent this since most banks require OTP to open the apps is to have another phone (any cheap one) where the OTP’s are sent. It can be hassle to have another phone but that’s what I have right now and it works so far.

I don’t like small talk too with taxi/TNVS drivers because it tends to trigger my motion sickness when talking continuously especially on longer travel but I still engage even for short period and then politely tell them that I need to close my eyes or I just put my earphones.

This is a valid question. I am a doctor too and I went to private hospital or clinic for my healthcare needs and it is only a reflex to ask this. We are a country with barely socialized healthcare system so it needs to be asked especially if you consult a 3 day cough in ER. 😎

I had several 7am classes in UST too during college. Those were mainly laboratory and they really started on time. There were already a lot of traffic congestions back then that there was a big difference between leaving 6:00 am flat versus 6:10am from home. 🤔

I am not aware that Uniqlo is treated as high end in the Philippines. I bought a few shirts few years ago and I say, they fit well and the quality is good for the price. The downside is that you are more likely to encounter someone somewhere wearing the exact shirt that you have.
