What does "learning acceleration" actually mean for Ss? Ex: a 4th grade T starts teaching grade level content & strategically builds in key 3rd grade concepts only when Ss need them to tackle 4th grade work. It's “just-in-time teaching” & it WORKS. @tntp

Robin Ramos invented the left to right finger counting that is integral to @eureka_math 's early grades. Listen to her discuss the origins of the four-part lesson. https://t.co/AurWjqPIGe

Designing accessible math instruction requires that we, as educators, remove barriers to accessing the math without undermining the objective. This puts students on the path to working on grade-level content and finding joy in math✨ #joyfulrigor

Students who fit nicely on the conveyor belt of education do well. For the great many who don’t fit nicely on the conveyor belt, experience an educational system that struggles to respond effectively. This is why #udl is essential.

What a great list! Last week, a frequent concern was the number of students who were “failing”. Maybe we should consider doing more of # 1 and # 2.

So excited to be presenting at this conference March 12-13. The conversation about bridging students' gaps in foundational knowledge to provide equitable access to grade-level math content is so important rightnow. All students deserve to experience "Math with Dignity"! #cmcmath

A typical school day is 8 hours, but remote learning needs a different time approach, say Lara Thibodeau & @docrappaport. Young students should have only 1-2 hours of online ed. daily; middle & HS students, 2-3 hours & 3-4 hours. #BestOfExpress20

This article really offers a great perspective on facilitating better discussions.
"What if, despite good intentions, the words you are using to involve students in discussion are actually shutting them out?" @balancedteacher Your Words Matter: https://t.co/U4C9UXGfrF

A great piece written by one ofy colleagues: The Math Manipulatives Hiding in a Junk Drawer
edutopia.org
When parents ask how to get the benefits of manipulatives like base 10 blocks in distance learning, teachers can share strategies for using common household items.

A one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for the expression of ideas. How can we design learning so that EVERY student can share what they have learned? #UDL & #BlendedLearning: Action & Expression https://t.co/zfss0JgmA8

We believe productive struggle is essential to learning but students need a solid foundation to master new concepts & build knowledge. That’s where Eureka Math Equip comes in to help teachers identify knowledge gaps: https://t.co/w6I25zp30K
