What’s a pogo jump/hop?
-Low intensity plyo where main movement comes from the feet & ankles
Why do it?
-Trains the foot and Achilles to be more elastic (how to absorb and reapply force quicker)
Where does it belong in a workout?
-Add it to the warmup!
I hate doing hip 90/90’s. They hurt. To whoever posted this exercise suggestion, it was exactly the motivation I needed to get back after the hip mobility
Beyond excited to officially begin as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Bangor Area High School on Monday!
Can’t wait to work with everyone, Go Slaters!

Just wanted to share a pic of
@DSMStrength
’s KPI Dashboard Template.
If you have eyes, ears and a computer he walks you literally step by step how to build it yourself OR you can buy the template straight from him.
His YouTube has helped me a ton!⬇️
For anyone considering this S&C position…
Wendy’s in Bethlehem PA will pay you $1 more per hour with no education or certification requirements.
Sometimes you just gotta wonder🤔
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Olympic Strength and Conditioning Department (non-Football, non-Basketball) is currently accepting applications for a Strength & Conditioning Assistant. The position is one year in duration with the potenti…
The only QB in NFL history that has lead his team to a winning season in each of his first 8 seasons... Maybe a positive mindset isn’t so cringe-worthy🤔
Thank you to everybody that made Mr. Saucon possible! It feels awesome knowing together we raised over $2,200 tonight!!!! No group of guys I’d rather do this with

Looking for a new SL variation?
Try Zercher Reverse Lunges
-Great balance of SL strength/stability
-Develops trunk strength
-Front loading helps those with less ankle mobility maintain an upright torso and obtain more hip extension
My emotions got the best of me and I accidentally only recorded 4 seconds of the whole parade. By far one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen🦅

If the purpose of gym class is to teach healthy activities that can be used in life after graduation…
Then how does squatting, hinging, pushing and pulling not make the curriculum?
This is a piss poor study.
Bilateral squat has an eccentric portion involved. A step up does not.
Improving COD involves increasing eccentric force absorption capability.
This article does not contribute to any unilateral vs. bilateral discussions at all.
Discussion of the day:
…
Uni-lateral training does NOT carry over to sports better than bilateral training.
So much for that argument. Probably means you should use both.
My last day as a strength & conditioning intern at Spring-Ford HS was this week.
My most important takeaway was not about the sets and reps, but was instead about the relationships built.
As a S&C Coach, you have the ability to create a big impact on your athletes. (1/5)

Very early into the game. Don’t have a lot of data to show BUT:
Watched
@DSMStrength
‘s YouTube videos and put together his KPI Dashboard. Excited to put it to use
Picture this:
It’s 2018. Everybody still only gets their information from twitter. Valid resources aren’t used to research issues they do not understand. Google still doesn’t cost money. Netflix streaming beneficially doesn’t use data off your data plan. The world did not end.
ANKLE MOBILITY:
Common mistakes made when performing band joint mobilization:
-Band placed too high
-Band only pulls horizontally
Instead, place the band where the tibia and talus meet. Have the band pull back AND down to manipulate the talus, allowing for more dorsiflexion
@willgeosits
So you’re saying high school kids don’t know how to workout better than their head strength coach with almost a decade of experience, a bachelors degree and a masters degree?🤣
5 weeks ago one of the athletes I work with could not squat lower than a quarter squat.
Today he front squatted to parallel repeatedly and could not stop smiling afterwards.

said, being able to see you’re helping people is a great feeling!
This is what EXTREME OWNERSHIP looks like. Truly believing you could have done something better to improve your situation.
Love Mahommes and his leadership… but fly eagles fly🦅
Got told that my comment about my good friend being treated poorly at an internship was “ignorant” and that “the game ain’t for everyone”
Getting treated like crap from a boss/superior/supervisor is not and never will be an acceptable part of “the game”

Coaches are people first they aren’t there to just provide training programs for anyone who asks.
The $10 option was right there on the profile, and it’s a hell of a bargain actually. But maybe he should’ve made it more visible like your five $100 products on your profile
Something that stood out to me in this week’s Sunday Strength Paper was
@Brandon_L_Pigg
actually performing the isometrics he programs.
I think it’s incredibly beneficial for a coach to perform what he/she programs.
