Great case! RA/RV findings are so subtle. But MV inflow variability cinches it.

#POCUS #echofirst pearl of the day: Mark chin rather than beard when measuring peak TR jet velocity [to estimate right ventricular systolic pressure/pulmonary vascular resistance]. Beard can overestimate these numbers. #MedEd #Nephrology 🔗 https://t.co/Y6eWouWpT7

Our UNBOOSTED because not then eligible teenager picked up COVID last week All of the BOOSTED adults in our household have remained -ve AND, so has our 10 yo! I'm 100% convinced this is only because he is one of the 2% Canadian 5-11's that has received his 2nd dose of vaccine

~1 million ON kids will return to elementary school in Sept unvaccinated. Without improvements in mitigation strategies, Delta will be rampant in schools & thousands will have long COVID. Our children deserve better. *Ventilation, filtration, smaller class sizes*

Great thread including 2 amazing resources - 1 on FAQ's on how to protect ourselves from COVID aerosol spread; another with an exhaustive list of supporting evidence, media links and resources on airborne COVID. Grateful these were shared.
Had a brief conversation about COVID spread yesterday w/ an extended family member (K12 principle). He said 'How is is possible that in 3 minutes you explained why ventilation, air cleaners, & masks are important better than I've heard in the last year from the CDC or anyone.' 1/

My 15 yo happily returned to the ice yesterday. Never mind mass vaccination, here is a PH measure that is sure to bring COVID to its knees - disinfecting hockey pucks!?! Droplet-based PH measures will continue to miss the mark. #COVIDisAirborne

...is determinative. We should not roll the dice on 3 weeks of school right now, and risk catastrophe. We should focus on vaccination, making schools as safe as we can for September, and figuring out other ways to ease the burden on kids right now with safe outdoor activities
