About time! .Competition is good. Academia is competing with industry to retain talents. Academia has the advantage that some people inherently prefer it over industry. So they don't need to match penny for penny. Atleast make the wages half decent!.
Postdocs are highly-trained scientists doing cutting-edge research. Glad to see this national movement towards increasing their salaries. Hopefully the @NIH will be adjusting their postdoctoral pay scales soon as well.
