Gut analysis toolbox (GAT) is out! Its based in Fiji & aims to automate image analysis tasks in gut neuroscience.Using AI models you can segment neurons. We use GAT to characterize neuronal distribution & reveal regional differences via spatial analysis @INMLAB

Check out the work of @KPrameKumar in collaboration with @sim_scientist @Dan_Poolio and @MHickey_IVM @MonashCID @SCSMonash. We revealed an underlying mechanism that mediates stroke-induced gut dysmotility. https://t.co/zYBIZJnacq

Thrilled to have my PhD work on biorxiv. With correlative calcium imaging & immunofluorescence we show TRPV4 expression in enteric glia, macrophages, lymphatic & vascular endothelia of the gut. TRPV4 does not play a prominent role in motility. https://t.co/pUUPrKOATk

So excited that this beast is out. We went to a lot of trouble to understand what the TRPV4 ion channel is doing in the colon. This paper has beautiful immuno, calcium imagining, functional studies, high end analytical tools. It includes analysis of tissue from multiple species.

TRPV4 is expressed by enteric glia and muscularis macrophages of the colon but does not play a prominent role in colonic motility https://t.co/dKTduw0Nj6 #biorxiv_physio
