For anyone interested in videolaryngoscopy outside of the operating theatre... Now published as an abstract from @ICS_updates SOA 2022, our subgroup analysis of VL performance in three settings: ED, ICU, prehospital. An interesting pattern emerges. @dramrogers @doctimcook

#MedTwitter does anyone have experience of, or regularly use an arterial line trainer? Which (if any) are best for art line monitoring/waveform education? Struggling to figure out how to run a session without access to art lines/ICU patients! @ICUnurses @precordialthump

A wee infographic on thinking fast and slow Training to achieve automaticity is a fundamental tool in improving performance in high pressure, cognitively demanding situations Automatic processing helps preserve cognitive capacity for complex, nuanced decisions & task execution

#COVID PPE - have seen plans saying goggles & faceshield in healthcare settings when high community prevalence - what evidence is out there / what is the added benefit of goggles if a full faceshield is worn?

Sometimes the difference btw needing intubation or not, is an expert ICU nurse who can provide medical Rx with one hand & continuously stroke the patient's hair with the other. There is no $ value for this.
