Hospital prices are driving inflation. A new @WSJ article shows how hospital prices are rapidly increasing. This gets passed on to consumers with higher premiums and out of pocket costs. When employers try to make up for the higher costs, they end up raising prices as well.

A lot of people are dragging this person. The knee jerk reaction of “92% coverage?! That’s amazing! Why are you complaining. Leave the country.” This shows how low the bar has been set for health insurance coverage in the US. Let’s put on our empathy hats for a moment. Imagine

Ppl asked whether there are actually 340B sites in Beverly Hills. There 4 - 3 of which are DSH hospitals / child sites. For fun, here's the Zillow page for the median-priced home available in Beverly Hills. A 3 Bed, 3 Bath rambler going for $4.3 million.

When the argument is always "No margin, no mission" there is no limiting factor on what profit-seeking behavior tax-exempt hospitals will engage in. Open a private equity subsidiary? 340B at a clinic in Bevery Hills? Garnish wages for unpaid bills? "No margin, no mission!"
