By most accounts, Dan Keane's favorite phrase was "Ease into the weekend." This weekend, the CBA community will be mourning the loss of one of its legendary figures, who passed away Thursday night at the age of 76.

CBA + the NJ HS sports community mourn the loss of legendary coach Dan Keane who died last night at 76. With over 1,100 wins, 21 state titles in soccer and tennis, Keane coached for nearly five decades. In 2015, JSZ was there for Dan Keane Day to celebrate his amazing career.

Coach Keane was back on campus in September to have CBA's new turf field officially dedicated as "Keane Field." His legacy will live on through the students who benefit from the field that bears his name. We will certainly miss you, Coach. All of us will "ease into the weekend."

A sad day for the CBA community, but a great day to see how much impact Coach truly had seeing the comments and stories from everyone today. He was more than a coach: a friend in the classroom, a mentor in times of need, a support system in times of struggle, and an all around.
