This is a shock and a shame. We owe @LouHaigh a lot, as it was her decision to cancel the Port of Liverpool Access Road, for which we'll always be grateful. She had great plans for improving transport across the north. We hope her successor picks up where she left off.

What a fantastic way to celebrate saving Rimrose Valley! After years of campaigning, I’m thrilled the Labour Government halted this road project and preserved a much-loved green space in Sefton. Congratulations to all our community @saverimrose @seftoncouncil and @Peter_Dowd
