Supporting people to get healthier transport solutions and stop damaging new roads
England

The Government has decided not to challenge the Court of Appeal judgement. That means the case is finally over and we have won!. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us in getting this historic victory.
A month ago, we won our case in the Court of Appeal about the unlawful cuts to active travel (walking, wheeling and cycling) made by the previous government and defended by Labour. We wait to see if the government will appeal to the Supreme Court.

In a message to the mass climate lobby @Keir_Starmer forgot transport (the biggest sector for emissions) and how his government has just funded 33 roads, increasing CO2 emissions by millions of tonnes. How is that "unwavering commitment to climate action"?.

"Labour committed in its manifesto to increase rail freight to reduce congestion, improve road safety and journey reliability. Yet it now appears to be actively undermining these outcomes and transport decarbonisation." - @ecochris_todd

"This is an incredibly expensive way of enabling new housing at a cost of nearly £100,000 per house to taxpayers. It’s economic madness and shows worrying signs of just how far Labour has strayed from its promises." - @ecochris_todd .
Better transport links that support new homes and create good jobs. That's what people want in their communities. That's what my Plan for Change is delivering. Today we've given the greenlight to major upgrades for our roads and railways, with funding across the country.
