The Government has decided not to challenge the Court of Appeal judgement. That means the case is finally over and we have won!. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us in getting this historic victory.
A month ago, we won our case in the Court of Appeal about the unlawful cuts to active travel (walking, wheeling and cycling) made by the previous government and defended by Labour. We wait to see if the government will appeal to the Supreme Court.

Since coming into existence (as Highways England) in 2015, National Highways has spent a fraction of its huge budgets on safety schemes, with the vast majority going on schemes to increase road capacity, including so-called “Smart motorways”
