Hey y’all! I figured I’d give y’all a statement since it’s that time of the year again. My family and I put the HOF in the rear view mirror ten years ago. I didn’t play baseball to get into the HOF. I played to make a generational difference in the lives of my family. (Thread)
Well…this is heartbreaking news. A great person, great teammate, and great golfing companion for many of our playing years. I told him many times playing along side of him what a great competitor he is. Hugs to his family and extended family. Miss you pal. 😞
Our hearts are broken with the loss of Tim Wakefield.
Wake embodied true goodness; a devoted husband, father, and teammate, beloved broadcaster, and the ultimate community leader. He gave so much to the game and all of Red Sox Nation.
Our deepest love and thoughts are with…
This is tough to hear… would not fly in the old days! Unfortunately this is how players are being taught with modern analytics…. What are y’all’s thoughts?
“I wish I wasn't out there for the seventh to be honest… I was at 90 pitches and I didn’t think I needed to go anymore.” -George Kirby after allowing a game-tying home run
Then focus on winning championships while giving back to my community and the fans as well. It was my passion. I gave it all I had, the right way, for my family and for the fans who supported me. I am grateful for that support. I would like to thank those who took the time to
look at the facts and vote for me. Hopefully everyone can now close this book and keep their eyes forward focusing on what is really important in life. All love! 🤟
Frank thought naming every World Series winner would be too easy, so he named every opponent & how many games were in each series too

Today is the 18th anniversary of when
@rogerclemens
came out of retirement to sign with the Astros.
During his time with Houston, he won the Cy Young, was an All-star twice, and was the NL ERA leader in 2005. (📸

Thx
@CostacosCollect
for collaborating on this piece!
A 20-strikeout game is arguably the most impressive feat any single player can accomplish in baseball and Roger Clemens did it twice. We don’t talk about that enough.
Amazing few days in Detroit watching my son
@kodyclem
debut for the
@tigers
! Hours of hard work and dedication are finally coming to fruition. A very special moment and could not be more proud. Bright future ahead!

This video is from last week in Florida… not sure why I took the mic and felt the urge to sing a Toby song but I know now.
I am so heartbroken with the loss of my good friend Big Dog Daddy. A TRUE friend. When you first met Toby he made you feel like he’s known you for years.…
Roger Clemens threw a one-hit shutout in Game 4 of the 2000 ALCS and struck out 15 Mariners along the way. He threw 138 pitches that day.
His Game Score of 98 is the best in LCS history.
Roger Clemens once made 30 consecutive starts without taking a loss. 😮 Over one full year without an L!
No one else has ever done that in MLB history.
🔥

Coach Gus will be greatly missed. None of these great memories of mine happen without him. Very thankful for his influence in my life! 🤘

and wife, Debbie, for your incredible gifts in support of Texas Baseball (oh, and thanks for the help on that 1983 National Championship, too!).

On this day each year, I think about all the NYPD, NYFD, All 1st Response Teams, Families, loved ones and their unmatched courage to move forward. I will never forget this day. We were scheduled to play the night of 9/11 at Yankee Stadium. Instead, that morning our nation changed…
You’re the man

Yeah you might hit one of my washed up heaters… but my splitty is turning one of your bats to firewood! 👊
and PS I was a JUCO guy too at one point in time
