if you have a 2nd pc yet you still carry them ssd's w/ your laptop, make a sharepoint/server/nas, mount it on your laptop and set as a login item. (2/2).

#5 - if you're tryna clean up your growing mess of a sample library / project directory:.- tag them.- create symlinks from the tag.- make a nice neat ole folder without nuking your original directories (1/2).

#4 - drum rack + pitch midi fx = no more finding the octave (z,x,z,x,z,x).if you have 5 sounds in a drum rack, set your pitch midi to 5+ st and fold the rest. slap an arpeggiator / sequencer in there with a drum one shot and you have your lawful evil expressive grooves.

#3 - if you're patient.screen record a production session (w/ hotkeys display on) take note of your most used combination and just set a macro / shortcut (or keyboard maestro if you're a crackhead).

#2 - if you use bitwig & ableton.only display vst3s and hide the rest. saves you the au headache (@Ableton .clap format would like a word).

a lotta yapping happening on the timeline so imma chime in. with some production tips .#1 - if you own a logitech device (mx master mouse etc) they just introduced action rings and there's already an ableton profile available (incl. icons for the ui/ux freaks)
