Why does only 3R Tau form insoluble deposits in Pick's disease? Stellar work from Pijush Chakraborty shows that acetylation promotes aggregation of 3R Tau but blocks aggregation of 4R Tau. https://t.co/fdApM2lJq5

In my open letter to the King in the Sunday Times today I suggest turning Buckingham Palace into a big museum like the Louvre and filling it with all the marvellous art in the Royal Collection. It’s such a good idea I fully expect it to be taken up! 😃

Great news for neurodegeneration in general and Parkinson’s in particular. I truly hope these advances will accelerate momentum and lead to similar breakthrough for less common neurodegenerative diseases! Congrats to @MichaelJFoxOrg and all those involved https://t.co/uhWy6YL1zK

This is the case for all UK brain banks. Many researchers want to use the amazing resources that brain banks have for vital research. These resources cost money to run yet funding agencies and researchers think they can run on thin air!! #pathologymatters
