More funding desperately needed for all UK brain banks as researchers and funding agencies think they can run on thin air! @QSBrainBank @BankCambridge @BrainBankManc @LNDBrainBank

Excellent article demonstrating the precarious position of brain banks in the UK. More funding is desperately needed. BBC News - Bristol centre storing brains for dementia research could shut https://t.co/S2z3zKEX8h

They found the cause of SIDS THEY FOUND THE CAUSE OF SIDS Excuse me while I cry for all the parents, including lead researcher Dr Carmel Harrington, who lived with guilt. And cry happy tears for parents in the future who will have access to screening and prevention. 😭

Great work from @rahulsidhu_ during his MSc project and @ABampton elucidating that hnRNP K mislocalisation in neurons of the dentate nucleus is a novel neuropathological feature of neurodegenerative disease and ageing @QSBrainBank

Protein production in brain cells can be disrupted in dementia. Understanding how this happens could help us find new processes to target for treatments. @tammarynlashley and @ariana_gatt are investigating this process in frontotemporal dementia. #AAIC21
