Of all the projects we’ve worked on at
@MomsFirstUS
this year, this is the one I am most proud of.
Today, we are officially rolling out , a first-of-its-kind tool to help families understand what paid leave they qualify for, and how to get it.
I woke up this morning to a news alert that our
@GirlsWhoCode
middle-grade book series was banned by some school districts as part of the Mom for Liberty effort to ban books. To be honest, I am so angry I cannot breathe.
Breaking News: The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to abortion after almost 50 years in a decision that will transform American life.
She fought so hard for all of us. For many more years than she needed to. She spent a lifetime fighting for a better future for us all. For now we grieve and we lay our superhero down to rest. And then we continue her fight. We will not let you down, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Never thought bravery would mean calling out
@60minutes
but here I am. They just aired a segment on the gender gap in tech without mentioning
@GirlsWhoCode
or any women orgs. Girls, this one’s for you.
#bravenotperfect
Okay... the most amazing and
#bravenotperfect
thing happened today at the Rio Book Fair:
Mayor of Rio tried to ban LGBTQ books so activists bought all the books and gave for free for a fight for love, inclusion, & diversity.
Just amazing 👏👏
This series was our labor of love, our commitment to our community to make sure that girls — all girls — see themselves as coders. You cannot be what you cannot see, and this was our effort to get more girls, girls of color interested in coding.
@jowhittemore
@GirlsWhoCode
And it worked! We are today 500,000 girls strong. Now, a group of moms and elected officials are trying to change this… by banning books that will get more girls interested in coding. We cannot let them win. We have to fight back. And we will.
So honored to receive a generous donation from Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

When I heard that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose

Marshall Plan for Moms is proud to be one of the organizations highlighted by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and the Archewell Foundation's new podcast,

As part of the launch of her podcast

THREAD: On my 44th birthday, I'm excited to share that WE'RE HAVING A BABY, due in February.
After 9 years of fertility struggles, our son is being carried by an angel — our gestational carrier, Amber. It's a rush of emotions, but the one I keep coming back to is gratitude.
Overturning Roe has never been about women or kids — but about controlling our lives and our bodies. If they really cared about us and our kids, they would make it *easier* to access abortion care. We would have paid leave, universal healthcare, and affordable child care.
I'm so proud of
@MomsFirstUS

In the words of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex:

This is why supporting women and girls in STEM needs to remain a priority. This and a million other reasons.
We did it!

Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex's commitment to gender equity and working mothers has been invaluable to our mission at

, particularly as we launched our National Business Coalition for Child Care earlier this year. Be sure to pick up your copy at newsstands!
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex doesn't owe us anything. And yet, she courageously and selflessly chose to open up about her grief and show the world that it's okay to not be okay. She is brave, not perfect.

Big day!
#MarshallPlanForMoms
just released our report on the Business Case for Child Care, and announced a new National Business Coalition for Child Care with leaders from across industries.
My social media has been blowing up all day from moms who feel seen. The trauma. The challenges. The experiences. This validates everything that every mom has been going through these past 2 years (and long before that).
When it feels like some of our leaders in Washington have deserted us, it gives me hope to know that someone with tremendous power is stepping up their commitment to moms. There's someone out there who sees us as a group that needs someone fighting for them. This means the world.
