Women also appear to formalize their employment in smaller firms. Reported wage increases are partially sticky in nominal terms when women return from maternity leave (2 or 3 years after birth). 🧵3/N

. and reported earnings increase during pregnancy. Response is concentrated in small, domestic, less-productive firms & typically brings women from minimum wage to benefit-maximizing threshold. Also became much stronger when reporting incentives became more significant. 🧵2/N

Amazing paper by @YunanJi and @parker_rog.on the impact of government price cuts on innovation in medical technologies out as working paper. When Medicare reduced reimbursements for durable medical equipment, innovation decreased and outsourcing increased.
