We have a new blog with @AnikoBiro17, Péter Elek (@HunRenKrtkKti) summarizing our recent @WorldBank @wb_research working paper. We show that the reported earnings and employment of pregnant women respond strongly to incentives embedded in the design of maternity benefits.
How can the design of maternity benefits affect women’s reported earnings during pregnancy?. New research from Hungary shows that linking benefits to recent earnings may incentivize formal reporting—especially in smaller firms

Amazing paper by @YunanJi and @parker_rog.on the impact of government price cuts on innovation in medical technologies out as working paper. When Medicare reduced reimbursements for durable medical equipment, innovation decreased and outsourcing increased.
