You have until Monday to post your comments, big or small, about our overdraft proposal. I could appeal to your vanity (a cite in the Federal Register!) but I know you care more about the public good. See Neale’s thread how useful you can be. Thanks!.

All feedback on our proposed credit card penalty rule, reasoning and all, must become part of the public record. Why not submit a comment online in the first place? It matters more than you think!.#cfpb #latefees #junkfees #EconTwitter.

@POTUS’s announcement today on actions to limit junk fees is an important step in lowering costs for consumers & promoting competition. It’s also a milestone for behavioral economics – decades of scholarship bearing fruit in policies that make a difference.

There is a refreshing amount of economics (data and reasoning) behind a proposed rule like this one, my first. Let me have your referee reports. 🍿💳🛠️🇺🇸 #EconTwitter.

As 🇭🇺 is remembering a failed uprising started two weeks before 🇺🇸 Election Day, I wonder what the @FiveThirtyEight model would have predicted for Ike’s reelection chances as of Oct 23, 1956. The model is proprietary, but this kind of information could be invaluable for research.

Responses to an audit threat in Hungary reveal that many workers declaring the minimum wage earn more. Audits increase declarations but also informality. This suggests that the minimum wage is a backstop on underreporting. Taxing it can recover taxes from evading higher earners.

If you're an economist and proud of your cloud setup, data stack, and workflow, please get in touch. Extra credit for Stata skills and legacy codebase. Honors for a guide/manual you can share. Tech or academia or both. The cloud is not a destination but a journey. #EconTwitter
