Security, resilience, common sense. Builds things. Grows things. Writes things. Gives talks about all that. “Funny.” (looking, I assume, they didn’t elaborate)

This did not require AI to detect.
BREAKING: The $610 Billion AI Ponzi Scheme Just Collapsed Last night at 4pm EST, something unprecedented happened. Nvidia stock rallied 5% on earnings, then crashed into negative territory within 18 hours. Wall Street algorithms detected what humans couldn’t: the numbers don’t

Just a friendly PSA about how aircraft engines are numbered…I see people getting it wrong, and that’s OK! Nobody told you! Engines are numbered left to right, from the pilot’s perspective. Or you could think of looking at the throttles from behind or the top…left to right. #1

I’ve seen a lot of trees growing under power lines. Besides, how much water do trees use? A lot, I bet.

This guy is asking this in bad faith, so I loathe replying, but it’s just that memory safety is but one peril among many, and the old guard’s assertion that there’s actually more to it is simply being proved out. Rust is moving from the peak of mount stupid to the trough of
I really want to know where all the irrational hate towards Rust or Rust developers on Twitter is coming from.

You heard wrong. Get that crap off my PC because we know you’re only using it to spy on people for telemetry.
We heard you wanted @Copilot Mode at work 👀

You see shebang at the top of Linux scripts all the time. It's not a shell comment. It's a kernel instruction. When you run a file like that, the kernel peeks at the first 2 bytes. It reads the path following those bytes, launches that program, and feeds your file into it.

So they’ll be idle if they’re on Zoom calls? Well… that’s about right.
🚨 An employee will be marked "idle" if there is no keyboard or mouse activity for more than 300 seconds (5 minutes) in Cognizant's new monitoring system. If an employee's PC or laptop remains idle for 15 minutes, the employee will be marked as engaged in "activities away from

Gemini 3 Pro sucks. Hallucinations all over the place, gets stuck in loops, won’t follow instructions, repeats itself. Not a fan, especially given that I had stuff it was helping me with, and I cannot seem to get 2.5 Pro back again.

The answer is to walk away from idiotic questions posed to you in this manner. Even if the question was legit, the person asking is a moron, and nothing good will come of it.

“I liked your talk. Would you care for some feedback?” is something I’ve said a fair amount in the last couple years. Giving feedback is an art, and requires practice. I also absolutely do not recommend the “radical candor” crap for feedback.
I hear from many young IT guys that they find it difficult to get their juniors to listen to them. In other words, the Slack culture has destroyed the ability to spontaneously pull someone aside. As such, I thought I would share a few words that I used in my youth to get

YO WHAT THE F You can opt out for $7 via the FTC.. https://t.co/9pTxCQ2zEG
The USPS could probably double their revenue overnight if they had a $10 a month service to stop delivering junk mail to an address. It’s totally insane that we tolerate this as a country. It’s an incredible waste of natural and human resources, labor, time, etc of everyone

you can instantly tell if someone is smart based on their eye movements basically but everyone is too scared to admit this
What are some good ways to tell if someone is “actually smart”? - Harvard, Stanford, MIT degree - MAG7 internships - Got into YC as a teenager - IOI, IMO medalist - Advanced leetcode - GitHub contributions graphs These are obvious, but what are some others?
