Breaking down the family Christmas movie, “Die Hard 2” from an aviation perspective. Let’s begin: Could terrorist take over the frequencies used by the tower? It’s possible, yes, but this idea has flaws. For one, we have many frequencies we can switch to & a “Guard” frequency.

Daughter asked if she could learn some cooking 😍😍. She found a recipe & prepared a Mediterranean salad, w/ grilled chicken for us & tofu for her, on quinoa. I supervised & gave tips, but she did everything. Thank goodness for knife safety gloves… She did great! Tasty!

JFK & EWR having big issues after snow swept through. 4 hour average delays. At one point, Delta had a ground stop for everything going to JFK. They’ll recover overnight, during the “reset” hours, but there will be some lingering issues in the morning.

When it’s clear & this happens, it produces one of my favorite visual effects. The cities look like they are underwater. The difference in temp w/ warmer air over a layer of cold (an “inversion” of normal) makes the light shimmer as if looking down into a pool. So cool!
Central California is currently experiencing one of the most remarkable temperature inversions I've ever seen in this part of the world. The Central Valley remains miserably damp & chilly under dense fog layer, but it's balmily warm & sunny just 2,000ft up nearby mountain slopes!
