If Tarleton leaves and goes FBS, leaves the UAC with 6 football members. Why they are in such a hurry. To me it looks like SEMO and UT Martin holds all the power to decide who has 8 and who has 6. Well atleast in this one scenario. As of now OVC has 8.

Tarleton leave the UAC very soon. I don’t think EKU does though they want to. That leaves 6 football members, why they are trying to add 2 more. SEMO immediately moves from a big fish in most all sports to even more resource strapped conference. It may be the only option tho
No I don’t think it is inevitable that Martin and SEMO leaves for the UAC or that would have happened at the same time as LR. Is it possible later? Sure. I don’t think SEMO is next, but I think if one more team departs the OVC it all blows up. There is 0 vision from the OVC

Why anyone at any level come to OVC, a dying conference with no vision. If the OVC survives there needs to be a change at the top to hire someone with an innovative vision. That process starts and end with the University Presidents

My instant reaction: I have no faith in Beth/ OVC expanding. They haven’t been proactive the last 5 years. Little Rock doesn’t matter really, but for all of the rumors surrounding the UAC expansion there are none for the OVC and there should have been smoke after the TTU exit

This doesn’t scream we have a plan. I don’t expect the OVC to be aggressive I expansion. Just because you got lucky before doesn’t mean there are many options left. Also, who wants to join such an unstable conference?

Some non-FBS realignment news: The United Athletic Conference has finalized the addition of Arkansas-Little Rock, sources tell @YahooSports. Little Rock will join UAC next academic year as a participant within the alliance UAC struck earlier this year with the Atlantic Sun.
