Great to have this preprint now out. NMR determined 3D structure of the ligand-bound dopamine-binding DNA #aptamer. Great work by everyone involved.

Great to be part of the project!
Sharing our @ChemBioChem paper on a non-G4 DNAzyme led by visiting scholar Claudia from Mexico. 1) Opposite pH dependency to a G4 one. 2) Beautiful NMR for hemin binding despite its paramagnetic Fe. NMR collaboration with @philip_johnson8 and @RahithNY 👏 https://t.co/KixWt9NnB9

New paper out as part of our ongoing collaboration with Juewen Liu at Waterloo. Interesting to see aptamers for ligand targets with such subtle structural differences. Great work by everyone involved @bionaloo #aptamer
Led by PhD student Yachen Xie, we obtained aptamers for bilirubin and biliverdin. Took us two years, a lot of details, check it out! Nice NMR from @philip_johnson8 and @RahithNY

Happy to have been able to help you on this project Juewen!
I think this is the first time that Irving-Williams series is seen in a nucleic acid. Should be an interesting metal binding site. Check out our new paper @ChemicalScience, another good collaboration with @philip_johnson8 and @RahithNY

Glad to see our new @J_A_C_S paper online on New Year Day! Using Sc3+, a visiting PhD student Jin Wang obtained an aptamer with different affinities and binding and dissociation kinetics to rare earth metals. Thanks @philip_johnson8 and @RahithNY for NMR! https://t.co/CG4EpLaD0o

Excited to publish our microplastic aptamers @angew_chem. Both PVC and PS microplastics have the same aptamer, revealing a fundamental difference in surface binding aptamers and molecule binding aptamers. Check it out! https://t.co/gXzO2Y5j4Y

Great to have been part of this work with Juewen Liu @bionaloo. And great to have an aptamer for quinine that is not the classic cocaine-binding aptamer like MN4! Thanks to Rahith @RahithNY in my lab and everyone else involved. #aptamers @ChemEurJ
we isolated a 10 nM Kd aptamer for quinine, with no binding to cocaine. Now, finally, both quinine and cocaine have their own aptamers. Another good collaboration with @philip_johnson8, an expert on this topic. Open access, free to read💥

During a typical aptamer selection experiment, buffer molecules are used at the 10 to 50 mM range, whereas target molecules could be used at much lower concentrations even in low μM levels. Therefo...

Great to have played a role in this work with Juewen Liu. Congrats to all involved including @RahithNY from my lab. #aptamers
We always wondered about the possibility of obtaining buffer binding aptamers for failed SELEX. Now we know it is unlikely, especially when Good's buffers are used. A nice collaboration with @philip_johnson8
