@bikashphy, @SarkisPascale, @VanessaUng, @DavideMercadan2, @cdmackereth and @aznauryan_lab reveal how the intrinsically disordered region of eIF4B governs its transition from monomers to oligomers and condensed droplets. https://t.co/zRuxhN3rLk

This work also involved an exciting and time-zone spanning collaboration with @DavideMercadan2 and @VanessaUng from the University of Auckland, which introduced me to many aspects of coarse-grained molecular simulation, and I look forward to the next steps!

The first main article with @aznauryan_lab on the atomic details of eukaryotic translation initiation factor eIF4B, leading to functional investigation from nanoscale to mesoscale. This work focuses on the disordered C-terminus and role in self-assembly. @arna_lab @BordeauxSts
Great to see this out: https://t.co/0uBrmnZRzt Was much fun to look into how disordered translation factor eIF4B navigates across its self-association landscape - encoded by its peculiar sequence and plasticity. And still a lot more to be studied…
