Capitalism requires a specific kind of sociopathy that feels no empathy. It's greatest virtue is the ability to continually harm other people for profit without feeling a iota of reluctance or shame.
If you're constantly left wondering why the worst possible people own/control all the wealth/power in the US, it's the same reason why the worst possible people are typically promoted in our workplaces: capitalism incentivizes/rewards the most despicable, anti-human attributes.
