My sister died of leukemia in 1988 when she was 15. Her birthday is August 1st. A year or so ago I was contacted by a woman whose Nana is now buried next to my sister. My sister and her Nana share the same birthday. She takes flowers for my sister whenever she visits her Nana.

If you have a family history of cancer and something health wise is off please make them screen you for everything. We didn’t know the family was segregating a BRCA2 mutation until they found it in his pancreatic tumor. Massive genetic counseling fail. Advocate for yourself.

Hi. I haven’t been around here much lately. I’m in Los Angeles caring for my brother in law and his family. He is in home hospice for BRCA2 positive pancreatic cancer. We have lost so many people in the family, men and women. Someone please cure this disease.
