Never forget this. A thousand times over. You’ll miss us when we’re gone.
"Having a GP who knows you personally—who is familiar with your history and your family, and can make decisions with you about your care in the light of that knowledge—is surely what we aspire to in general practice" @HelenRSalisbury

there is a special place in hell reserved for qualified nurses and doctors who leave clinical practice go into pure executive, national or regulatory roles and then bully/threaten/silence or slave-drive their former colleagues as they focus on "managing upwards" Betrayal

"It's not too late to change course. Even at this 11th hour, we're urging the government and the unions to enter negotiations on pay immediately so that the strikes can be averted." @julianhartley1 comments ahead of the 72-hour junior doctors' strike due to start on 13 March. 👇

I’m hearing now that players are considering whether or not they’ll give interviews to the BBC tomorrow. This is epic. If the football legends of my youth help to bring down corrupt BBC figureheads and government, it’d be a dream come true

This story of the Liar, the Prick and the £800k Loan. Few know that the govt. chooses the BBC chair, who is responsible for state broadcasting and upholding "impartiality and political neutrality". Johnson’s mate helped him bank £800k then got the job. Sounds about right.

Tonight @columeastwood and I be voting against a bill which is anti-worker, anti-reform and yet another attack on democratic rights. If the Tories really want to end the strikes they should engage properly with trade unions.

Preventive care is primarily about reducing social inequalities, population health, wages and work, pollution, childcare, travel infrastructure, etc etc - the nhs can’t do that. Statins don’t remove poverty. Real public health prevention takes place well away from NHS
“I’m concerned that we patch people up and send them back to rubbish lives. We’re a sickness service and we need to become a health service.” - Professor Dame @HelenStokesLam

for all new guidance/lobby requests, 'gps should' etc, need to work out what % of primary care time the new *thing* will take up, and either 1)what we will stop to fit this in 2)what new resources we will need to do this. and don't start until you have sorted that. #NHSCrisis

Today's announcement by BBC NI is an attempt to close Radio Foyle by stealth. Our local voices need to be heard and the people of Derry and the northwest will not accept it
