But most exciting of all, our evidence shows that whilst all can benefit from work experience, those from less affluent backgrounds can benefit the most. In other words, the more experiences we provide, the fairer it gets. 8/8

Experiences of work can help even-the-odds by giving fair access to those āthings worth knowingā, from primary school onwards. Evaluation of our programmes show that work experience is particularly effective at filling-the-gaps in the very areas that this report highlights... 7/

This report recommends increased investment in careers advice, so that pupils without access to support outside of school can access it, in school. This includes expansion of proven mentoring schemes that connect young people with successful people, from all walks of life... 6/
