In the game against the best team in Europe at its very peak, Reece James was the best footballer on the pitch by a mile and a half.
Very proud of the team. Shame we didn’t get to see how even better we’d have been 11v11. Their time is now, but we’re not going anywhere. Time to regroup, refresh and the goal is to maintain these standards in less emotionally charged games, but equally important.

Kenny McClean from halfway. What an absurd, brilliant way to send your country to the World Cup. https://t.co/gtPPupVwSm

"I tried to enjoy every moment. Those celebrations [at the end] aren't really me, I was probably as red as a beetroot! I'm 56 years of age, I've never led a team as head coach, so that will live with me whatever happens now. It was very special and will mean a lot to my family."

Phenomenal spot. Hugo Ekitike is indeed the first player in Liverpool's history to score his first 6 goals on 6 different days of the week. The previous record was first 5 by both Ray Houghton and Dejan Lovren. #LFC
I have no idea (@michael_reid11?) but that's trivia gold.
