Cam Schlitter's average velocity freshman year of college at Northeastern was 88.8mph. By his junior year, it was 90.4mph. Last night, it was 98.9mph. So maybe don't worry if your 15-year-old son isn't already committed to a SEC program?

On 4/30 during our game vs WIT, Senior Mariano Jimenez needed 3 hits in the game to record his 100th hit. In the 7th inning, he doubled down the line to record his 100th career collegiate hit. Congrats to Jimenez on his collegiate milestone. #RollBeacs #FeedTheMeter #FindAWay

A Hard Truth for Parents. “If you do too much for your children, you are increasing your self-esteem by stealing theirs.” Let them figure it out. The best gift you can give your kids is the belief that they can handle hard things. https://t.co/NIX0ZH8Ecv

Parents get mad at school coaches when their kids don’t play as much as they think they should. They feel they’ve invested so much time & money that their kid should be playing more when reality is they’ve thrown money away for the last decade on pointless training & AAU teams.🤷🏻‍♂️

This needs to be said. Parents If your son is undersized as a kid (little league age) and he is a tireless worker that is competitive by nature. Be patient, he's going to pass the majority of the early bloomers. It can actually be an advantage in the long run.

ALONE in the Crowd Why do some "Sports Parents" sit alone? There are many reasons. Here are five of them... 1: NO DRAMA - Most parents do not like drama. They avoid drama, so they sit alone. Unfortunately, too many adults still need drama in their lives. They seek it out and

If your coach holds you accountable, you are VERY fortunate. A lot of coaches accept their players doing whatever they want, whenever they want with no consequences. Discipline/responsibility/accountability are life prep! If your coach cares that much, you’re lucky so respect it!

PARENTS: When you blame other things (officials, coaches, conditions, circumstances, teammates) for the situation your son or daughter is in, then you're essentially teaching your child how to be an excuse maker. Set the standard. Be the standard.

RULE for Coaches and Players. When talking about the TEAM, use words like… 1. Us 2. Our 3. We Do NOT use words like… 1. Me 2. My 3. I Too many still talk in terms of individual glory or individual ownership. It is a TEAM game. Speak like a TEAM.
