My latest restaurant review for the @postandcourier is out: a visit to El Molino Supermarket, which features tacos on fresh corn tortillas (from their in-house tortilleria) plus some really splendid tortas, too. https://t.co/muHmWfQjMo

At two locations in Charleston, El Molino Supermarket serves savory tacos on soft corn tortillas, hefty tight-wrapped burritos, tortas on warm fluffy rolls and more.

It's been at least a decade since a Charleston restaurant has generated as much opening buzz as Sorelle, the big new Italian showpiece from the MINA group. It took some doing, but I snagged a few reservations and gave it the once over for @postandcourier. https://t.co/9npMmee7Z4

Sorelle shines best not with the big, brash plates nor with the produce of the Lowcountry but rather with expensive ingredients sourced from far away, The Post and Courier's contributing

Next up for the @postandcourier: at 167 Sushi Bar in Charleston, veggies and small plates are as much in the foreground as raw fish, and they’re really impressive, too. https://t.co/kSfhBqpy02

Up next for @postandcourier: I head over to La Bonne Franquette, the new French café from the owners of Christophe Artisan Chocolate. Spoiler alert: the desserts are really good. https://t.co/2Ee1yZbiHn

La Bonne Franquette's West Ashley dining room has been home to Caribbean- and Irish-inspired restaurants in the last two decades. Perhaps the location was destined to be a French café?
