Perhaps even more so, an invited seminar talk.
I feel like the conference talk format has gotten so stale, even for those who are good at it. How can we switch it up? One idea is an "interview" style, where after a 5 minute presentation, an interviewer who has read the paper engages in a structured conversation. Thoughts?.

Our new paper is finally out, showing that the same enhancer sequences - and likely the same transcription factors recruited to them - affect the activity of distal enhancers and their looping over to target gene promoters.

. The first few hours of stroke make the difference between disability, life, and death. What are the built-in mechanisms protecting the brain? I's not quite clear, and it's difficult to develop new treatments without knowing these mechanisms.

By instituting their own funding calls, smaller science funders increase the workload of everyone: their staff, reviewers/panelists and the applicants. Would it not be better if they committed to funding some proposals deemed fundable but not making the cut at major funders?.
