Despite having a multi-billion-dollar net worth, you decided to stop paying artists for songs with less than 1,000 streams (months before giving Joe Rogan $250,000,000). So I made a playlist of 300+ great songs with less than 1,000 streams to give them more visibility and plays.
Rest in Peace to Ahmad Jamal, a remarkable and prolific talent whose influence as a jazz pianist spans many genres. His catalog is diverse, rich, and incredibly vast. I highly recommend exploring it in depth and taking time to sit with both his celebrated and lesser-known work.
This is a difficult time for artists, musicians, and producers of all levels.
Let’s support each other.

Exciting personal news - my wife and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world at 3:18 AM today, February 24th!
We’re so excited for this new chapter in our lives.
Album of the day. Master Gil Scott-Heron and his most trusted collaborator, Brian Jackson, made some of the heaviest, righteous jazz-funk ever. Their 1977 offering, Bridges is considered by many to be one of the duo's best in their canon.
1) Wanted to share a resource I think some of you will like - the website The Good Old Dayz.
The site has a map where you can explore rap releases from every state in the US. A lot of them are rare/under the radar releases from the '90s and early 2000s.
Scored this in a dollar bin a while back. This album is great and it sounds amazing on vinyl. One of those records you can play over and over again, which is what I’ve been doing today.
Another personal favorite from this thread: Jennifer Lara’s 1981 cover Evelyn "Champagne" King’s “I’m In Love” (with a slightly different title of “I Am In Love).
What a heater.
Rest in Peace Gangsta Boo, an absolute legend.
She first recorded with DJ Paul when she was 16 and her career remained active for the next 27 years. That level of longevity as an artist is almost unheard of in any genre.
What a devastating loss.
"The Making of 88-Keys & Mac Miller's 'That’s Life' Featuring Sia"
"The song was inspired by a 90-minute conversation he and I had."

Produced by Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson, associate produced by Larry Fallon and Tom Wilson
Hello.
I'm scaling back on Micro-Chop articles and threads for the time being.
This isn't the end, but it's definitely a change of pace.
Thanks to everyone for their support over the past 6 years.
I greatly appreciate it.
