Incredibly grounding (yet simultaneously unnerving) essay on "The digital age’s reversion to pre-literate communication" by @Andrey4Mir What hit me like a ton of bricks: 1. "Never before has the speed of our interactions with the world exceeded our neuro-capacity." 2. "Put to

Amazing speech. Mamdani clearly believes all he has to do is wipe out the oppressor class, and NYC will transform into utopia. I remember the young Castro thinking exactly the same. Look up that economic trajectory... https://t.co/nhM5SuA15a

@Noahpinion What he said is true though. America was built on genocide and slavery. That’s a fact. You don’t get to deny that so center right idiots feel good about themselves

Maybe a very prosaic observation, but I've been reflecting on just how much the pandemic changed the world in ways that are completely unrelated to the pandemic itself. I think I've underestimated it 'till now. In a recent interview, I was struck by the comment that so many of

May or not not be the right time to say this, but I’m currently working on two mini-documentaries for @stripepress: one about a farmer-turned-knife-maker, and one about a master perfumer, as our answer to this question. Yes, mastery matters, and maybe now more than ever.

Here’s what I’m curious about. This woman has no political talent. She’s objectively hideous. She treats everyone around her like absolute dirt. How the hell is she a leading candidate for Governor in California?

LOYALTY? Brigadier General Gronewold of the Oregon National Guard made it clear he believes he has a DUAL duty to protect America and Oregonians - and he believes that includes the Antifa protesters. If federalized he testified that he would protect the insurgents.
