A shocking example of how the relentless (regularly incorrect) menopause narrative led to this lady being misdiagnosed as having migraines caused by menopause.
Not every symptom in midlife is menopause

Delighted that

have invited me to chat to their female employees about menopause as well as potentially speaking at an event.
My club, I’m humbled.

Walking through Newcastle, I passed a guy struggling with his load. His ‘load’ was his home, several carrier bags. Turning back, I got talking to him…he’d been on the streets for a few years due to family problems, he was 40 & called Mark. We got him a coffee, food & water

sums up the reaction of the recent HRT article featured in The Mail on Sunday perfectly. How some menopause activists have reacted on the back of being made aware of doctors over prescribing HRT and endangering women’s health is mind boggling
Santa arrived at

today!
An extraordinary place, made even more special because I grew up in Beamish and have witnessed its phenomenal growth over the last 50 years
Very saddened to see the image of Prince Charles after visiting Prince Philip. Whether you like the royals or not, this was a son probably saying his last goodbye to his dad.
Be respectful twitterverse
Let me introduce you to the new business. Helping women navigate their way through debilitating symptoms of menopause is something I’m incredibly passionate about and have first hand experience with.

After mammoth research, being under a NHS menopause specialist for 3 years and being on my 5th HRT attempt (tablets, different tablets, gel, spray, patches), I’ve decided to wean myself off it. The indicators are it’s working against me rather than for me
So whilst the current
#menopause
narrative is all about being prescribed
#HRT
, there are women out there who don’t benefit from it, who can’t take it and some are even intolerant.
A tad anxious? Yes! Will I feel better? I’m hopeful. I’ll keep you updated on my progress 😊
Today marks 20 years since this beautiful soul passed away after a 6 yr health battle.
A miner’s daughter, a visionary, a trailblazer and a warrior till the end🖤
Today we’re scattering her ashes.
Time to take her home 🤍
My Mam, Hazel Conroy ❤️
Your gut (second brain) and brain are intrinsically linked so if your gut is out of sync, has bacteria/yeast overgrowth etc, it affects immunity, causes mental health decline, hormonal imbalance, chronic fatigue, brain fog, inflammation and much more.
An excellent thread 👇🏻
This pm I attended the funeral of my cousin’s 26 yr old son, socially distanced in the cemetery.
His grandad (my uncle) carried the coffin just yards from where his own son is buried, who passed away last year.
Brutal.
Take nothing for granted and love a little harder ❤️
Back in the day, I lived in homes with acres and woodland but I gave it up for my independence.
Happiness isn’t found in acres, bricks & mortar.
The last 16 years has been one hell of a journey but I’ve never looked back and I’m proud to call this little haven home 😊
I’m the baby. The middle lad is my cousin. It was 1970 in a pit village in the NE.
He started as security at Nike in Washington Tyne & Wear. He became Vice President of

in the USA. Now retired.
So bloody proud!! 👏🏻
Loved seeing him tonight ☺️
I asked how he manages in these temperatures. He said ‘he just gets on with it’ and sometimes he’s lucky enough to get a bed, albeit a rare occurrence.
He didn’t show an ounce of self pity nor was he asking for help/food/money.
One of many….
Just heartbreaking 💔
It has to be said the national broadcasters only focus on severe weather in the south. The north failed to get a quarter of this coverage when we had red storm warnings resulting in colossal damage & disruption in January. The north/south divide prevails
Chatted to a homeless guy outside the Live Theatre. Asked how he’s coping, how long he’s been on the streets etc. Bought him soup as did another couple of women. He’s one of thousands living out in these freezing temperatures 😓
And we worry about such insignificant tosh....
In light of recent news, it’s worrying that the menopause divide continues.
Can we just pause, breathe and remember that we all want what’s best for women

A family brunch with the four siblings then bbq this pm at the big brothers.
51 years of knowing this one, the one that walked me down the aisle 30 years ago.
And he still looks after me
