Miners Strike: A Frontline Story is a powerful watch. I was only 9 but my memories of life in a colliery town are vivid. I lived amongst the experiences of my Easington community & witnessed their resilience throughout. The abandonment post-1993 pit closure is another story!

On this day in 2009, Sir Bobby proudly opened the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre with then @England manager Fabio Capello among the guests. Sir Bobby was passionate about research. No doubt he'd tell us, well done for 15 years of drug trials. Now keep at it.💙
