Another renewable fantasy bites the dust. Exxon just hit pause on one of the world’s biggest hydrogen projects because—shocker—nobody wants to buy expensive blue hydrogen. https://t.co/tSEKiU1T0N #Energy #Hydrogen #Exxon #ESG #RealityCheck

Exxon Mobil has paused plans to build what would be one of the world's largest hydrogen production facilities due to weak customer demand, CEO Darren Woods told Reuters in an interview on Friday.

The new report of total payments to Alberta MLAs was just released. While the UPC nickel-and-dimed teachers, @neudorf_ab took home $302,538 in salary, benefits and reimbursements. @JasonNixonAB took home $301k, @dtloewen took home $300k, and the list goes on. #abpoli #ableg (1/2)

There is it, someone is lying and the gauntlet has been tossed, time to find out who with a public investigation. Someone's political career is over.

Interesting, seems like there isn't a rush to increase production anymore as 2-3% yearly sounds pretty much like hold the line.

BIG OIL STRATEGY: Chevron updates and extends its business plan to 2030, expecting to buyback $10-$20 billion per year over the next five years. The company is tightening its belt, reducing capex guidance by $1 billion a year to prioritise returns over growth. $CVX #OOTT

Sanctions? What sanctions? The media told us that Turkey is diversifying its crude oil imports to reduce its dependence on Russia. Turkey's crude imports from Russia in October were near a record high!

Today at Halifax Shipyard we marked the official keel laying of the eighth and final AOPS, the future CCGS Sermilik. The ceremony included the tradition of welding a coin to the hull of the second AOPS built for @CoastGuardCAN. Learn more: https://t.co/d0udDXu3uF

Looks can be deceiving. This well seemed to be plugged. No dead vegetation. But what lies beneath is much scarier. Live crude oil actively leaking into the soil. From a well “plugged” by Gulf Oil decades ago. #cvxblowout #hirehawk

For all you newbies to Alberta, education is one of the foundational values and has existed even before Alberta existed as in the land grant system that created western Canada, sections 11 and 29 were school lands, that is how important education was.

If the Americans ‘take over’ Venezuela, Canadian crude imports to the US will take a huge hit as no one has benefited more from U.S. sanctions on Venezuela than Canada.

COLUMN: Donald Trump is eyeing an oil prize in Venezuela. If the White House engineers regime change in Caracas, the nation could become a major source of incremental oil supply in 2030-2040. Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves. @Opinion

Wow! Here is an LNG shipment from the sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 using the Northern route. Most likely it is going to China. LNG traffic through the Northern route slowed significantly recently. Now we see carriers from Yamal LNG going around Africa. Map from @Kpler

Increased dividends?? That doesn't sound like a company who wants to invest in building large expensive new production facilities needed to fill a new pipeline.

The Parkland refinery might have new owners but this is nothing new. The product tanker CLEAROCEAN GINKGO is currently unloading refined product from the US Gulf Coast at the Parkland terminal.

Yes I realize 'night' is a thing (I have solar panels on my home), but a big part of shipping costs is fuel, so even a 20% reduction in fuel usage by using daytime solar power is significant. The Vertom Tula is currently on route to ANTWERP from VOUDIA (Greece).

No update yet from BP on impact of Thursday night fire on BP Whiting refinery operations. If any extended impact, it should lead to some widening of WCS less WTi differentials. Whiting capacity is ~440,000 b/d, runs basically on Cdn crude, is the largest refinery in Cdn

The crude tanker AMARTHEA just left Westridge in Vancouver and might be on its way to El Segundo, which given last night event (the fire is out now), might be interesting to see what happens when it gets there depending on the damages and investigation into the cause etc.
