When we put the world economy back together after this thing is over, I'd like the engine of it to be American/Canadian/British/Aussie robots, not sweatshops in undeveloped countries.

[Benn Eifert voice] junior quant interview question A 10 GbE market-data link comes in via an SFP+ module to a board-mounted PHY/SerDes & then an FPGA MAC. We timestamp frames at the FPGA MAC RX interface. Median ingress latency was ~450 ns with tight p99 latency yesterday. But

i'd love to know what % of the highly partisan and inflammatory discourse on twitter is coming from Russian/N Korean/Iranian bot farms i'd predict it's a very, very high number. much higher than you might want to admit. you are being psyop'd. you are under attack, retard.

Weekly reminder that the fastest speed to market is storage fueled with solar/grid with simple cycle NG assist.
Latest lead times for critical equipment per McKinsey. Shared at Yotta this week. Lead times coming in for generators, UPS, transformers, switchboards, and chillers but still extended for some (20+ weeks).

Forest Hills Eastern is one of the most powerful blighted hinterland high schools out there, astonishingly large fraction of people who graduated within a few years of me are doing something high profile in the technology industry

I’ve been searching Bluesky to find people celebrating the assassination. The biggest account I found has 16K followers. There are probably others. But it seems like 100% of Democrats who matter in any way unequivocally condemn the killing. Maybe we should appreciate that?

"We are, quite suddenly, living in a world-changing moment" 380 GW of solar deployed in the first half of the year. No other technology can deliver speed to market or anchor the load growth coming the next few years.

A ton of social organization is downstream of the fact that macroeconomics doesn’t have a strong grasp of how firms and related groups of firms transact, so they just pick a course measure from a century ago and steer the economy with it
GDP is a funny number because manufacturing a real product and selling it for $10k generates way less of it than three AI startups swapping the same $10k as “revenue” between each other despite the former producing infinitely more value

That’s after only 4 years of deployment and doesn’t count the GWs of behind-the-meter storage that could be coordinated to discharge during demand peaks. Astonishing. A DOE report on storage from 20 years ago didn’t consider Li-Ion as a viable technology for grid storage.

Threads full of bots calling for civil war. Half of them have an AI-generated profile photo, the standard bio schlop, and the standard banners. Stop fucking engaging them. They are there for a reason, and they aren't on your side.
