Few people in the United States have seen what great infrastructure looks like. This is the future that is scary to many. You’ll notice at one point the train, a car carrying cargo, bicycles, bicycle parking, and wide sidewalks are all in frame with a park in the middle.

I have switched to flying @united instead of @Delta. About 50% of my flights with United require me to check my carry on. Every time there have been spots for my bag when I got on the plane. Why is United so bad at determining their cutoff point for when they should check them?

Spam seems pretty bad on X. Maybe worse than before its new steward took over. From your perspectives, what has improved under its new steward?.

Here is a chat thread of me learning Spanish and using ChatGPT as my personal tutor. It’s so damn helpful.

I think very few things should be free. I do think there is a psychological benefit to having people paying for a service. Two things that I don't think should be free generally: . - Parking.- Public transit.

Apple is progressively feeling more like Microsoft from the Ballmer era. I have been an Apple ecosystem person for a bit now, but it feels like a company on the decline.

Absolutely bonkers. We are raising kids that will be utterly helpless as adults. I am shaking my cane at the sky about this. Kids do not need to be constantly monitored. In fact, they shouldn't be! It steals independence and growth from children to let parents feel better.

The grieving parents of a 7-year-old child who died hours after being hit by a car were charged with involuntary manslaughter after allowing him and his brother, 10, to walk home unaccompanied by an adult from a nearby grocery store.

I can't imagine how much peace I would feel if the next presidential election was a choice between people of integrity like Obama/Mitt Romney. Honestly, I wouldn't even care much which one of them gets elected.

My mom: "Alright Matt, it's 9am. It's a summer day. I don't want to see you again until it's dark. Go find something to do outside." . It wasn't an exaggeration at all. It's harmful to tether kids to a phone and not let them be alone in society.

Did parents in the 70s/80s/90s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies.

My son was late for his summer job shift this morning. Apple’s “silent alarm” bug strikes again. It’s wild that they have let this bug persist this long.

Granola happens to have the best notifications for meetings in town. Not the reason you buy it, but such a valuable feature to provide the best notifications for meetings. It's also quite good at its primary purpose too!.

I've been banging the drum that Denver's @RideRTD feels most unsafe when it's just you and the tweaker on the train. When it's packed, there are very rarely any problems at all. The more ridership, the more safe it is.

This has been happening to my wife's iPhone. Totally wild that nobody at Apple appears to own this. That it can just be a thing for years on end. Wonder how many flights or other critical appointments have been missed over this?
