Absolutely bonkers. We are raising kids that will be utterly helpless as adults. I am shaking my cane at the sky about this. Kids do not need to be constantly monitored. In fact, they shouldn't be! It steals independence and growth from children to let parents feel better.
The grieving parents of a 7-year-old child who died hours after being hit by a car were charged with involuntary manslaughter after allowing him and his brother, 10, to walk home unaccompanied by an adult from a nearby grocery store.

My mom: "Alright Matt, it's 9am. It's a summer day. I don't want to see you again until it's dark. Go find something to do outside." . It wasn't an exaggeration at all. It's harmful to tether kids to a phone and not let them be alone in society.
Did parents in the 70s/80s/90s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies.

I've been banging the drum that Denver's @RideRTD feels most unsafe when it's just you and the tweaker on the train. When it's packed, there are very rarely any problems at all. The more ridership, the more safe it is.

Four of us in our family have missed things from this problem. My son's phone is doing this still.
This has been happening to my wife's iPhone. Totally wild that nobody at Apple appears to own this. That it can just be a thing for years on end. Wonder how many flights or other critical appointments have been missed over this?
