Let’s be honest here the person who keeps reporting me to work for every little thing I post seems a very obsessed with me and it’s very stalker-ish and VERY creepy! And as soon as I find out who it is, I will be reporting them for stalking/harassment. 👍🏻

When you become disabled there’s a few things you notice right away: Ableism is everywhere. People will abandon you. Even those you were certain would stick by you. Just because something is illegal or against human rights code doesn’t mean it’s not happening ALL the time

For the trillionth time - PIP IS NOT AN OUT OF WORK BENEFIT! Many PIP claimants DO work and PIP helps them to keep on working

Invisible disabilities exist. Dynamic disabilities exist. People with the same disability but different severities exist. Better days and worse days with disability exist. You cannot always judge someone’s disability just by looking at them. And you shouldn’t. Their abilities

Caught up yesterday with a Met DC who has had enough. A good officer. A good person. "I still love the Met," they told me. "But I've come to realise that the Met doesn't love me back." And so they're leaving for a county force - for a place they hope will value & appreciate them.

As a disabled person, I do not owe ableists: • my private medical details • gratitude • politeness • my time • my attention • an explanation of why I’m unemployed • justification of my disabilities We owe you nothing.

If disabled benefits claimants lost their benefits & Motability today, your life wouldn't improve. You wouldn't gain anything. You'd still be taxed, have a crumbing NHS, have a shit car, low paid job, high bills. Disabled people however would be destitute, homeless & dead.

Tonight, the Woodcock Moon rises. 🌕 Folklore whispers of Woodcocks awaiting this moonlit night to cross the seas & arrive in huge numbers on our shores. It was believed tiny Goldcrests journeyed with them, riding on their backs! It will be our second Supermoon of the year.

"we see pip fraud everywhere" Lol no you don't, you see some poor fucker using a blue badge because they've got arthritis or something but because they're not paralysed & in a wheelchair you assumed they're faking and are too stupid to know that blue badges don't = motability.

I'm genuinely ashamed of being a Brit. I'm 53 and my disability stopped me working after 35 years. I have NEVER seen this much hate for the poor/elderly and especially disabled than what's happening now. WE are not the cause of everyone's woes that Politicians are peddling🤬

The Chancellor says that we all 'have to do our bit' As a carer, like thousands of others, I already am, saving you and the country over £445 million per day. Our ‘bit’

A disability is a disability no matter how severe or mild it is. Let’s not let the government and others divide us with their “genuine disability” nonsense. We need to stand together and stand firm as one united community.

Some disabled people can work. Some disabled people can’t work. Some disabled people could work with the right accommodations, but a lot of jobs are not accommodating enough.
@DiaryofaSickGrl Often it's assumed disabled people can't work - however this is nearly never the case - I've worked with people who can't walk and have one arm but we're able to work in call-centres.
