Remember where we were in summer 2020: the first COVID wave was behind us but we still understood very little about the disease. Catching it was terrifying because there were no treatments - it was purely a dice roll if you ended up okay, in the hospital, or worse.

Hi @freddieoconnell - is there a reason Southeastern Electric parks vehicles in the rightmost of 3 lanes next to City Hall blocking ingress to Robertson bridge? Short-term - no problem... but this is all day every day going on 3 months now. Creates traffic hazard on PM commute

If you come across people tweeting a Nature article about how N95 masks would have dramatically lowered Covid-19 cases in England, please inform them this was *literally coded into the statistical model used* Another case of models used as propaganda

It was always apparent that the public health establishment eschewed nuanced messaging in favor of treating the general public like children. As it turns out, the general public don't appreciate being treated like children. Communicate risks & uncertainty, & let adults decide.

Did you know that FEMA is still paying up to $9,000 for funerals for people who die with covid on the death certificate? Deaths from cancer, heart disease, bus accidents... $0. There are apparently more and less worthy ways to die in the US. https://t.co/GB3r3tPNC8

The Vandy goalpost traveled almost 3 miles to get to the Cumberland River 🔥😳 From tearing it down to ending up in the river it only took @VandyFootball fans a little over an hour to get the job done 🤯

It’s wild the entire world went through Covid since the last election and how that era was handled hasn’t been mentioned once throughout any of these debates. Like it didn’t even happen.

The Oakland A’s were killed by greed. Do not allow the people responsible for this to spin it any other way. John Fisher did not have to move this team. Major League Baseball and its owners did not need to be complicit in it. This was a choice. A wrong one. History will sneer.

The Atlantic harmed the public health response in the covid era by demonizing states that tried to keep schools open. They continue to harm public health by minimizing public health hypocrisy. Did any fact checker ever criticize the Atlantic's pandemic falsehoods? Why not?
