Some patients in hospital have no visitors — just hours alone, staring at the ceiling or wall. TV isn’t a luxury, it’s comfort, company and distraction. Recovery needs that. It’s shameful it’s not free. No one should have to pay to feel less alone. @Keir_Starmer @wesstreeting

Son past week given a menu in hospital of food he can’t eat have flagged several times told a SALT assessed it’s on notes .NO THEY DIDNT having to buy his food from canteen as can’t give him any other menu cos the ‘system’ says no @YSTeachingNHS
